Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and ITV visit Camel & Yak

After we had just about got over the wirl wind effects of last weeks adventure with ITV’s House Gift, we were extatic to have ITV visit to film for another television programme. They were so impressed with our product range that the great man himself, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, graced our store. After the staff managed to mop up the drool off the floor, they helped with his decission to purchase our one of a kind jeans covered egg chair.
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has established himself as one of the UK’s most easily identified interior designers, and our favourite television dandy. He stormed onto our TV screens back in 1996 with his role as the flamboyant and super-confident designer on the hit BBC series Changing Rooms. Since then he’s fronted a plethora of home design shows, and is currently the resident interior design expert on ITV1’s This Morning, regularly giving us the benefit of his design wisdom.
Off screen, Laurence runs a range of successful homeware products and has his own interior design practice in Cirencester, providing bespoke design services for luxury homes, offices, bars and retailers.
We will keep you updated when the episode is telivised.

ITV's House Gift film at Camel & Yak

You can imagine our excitement when we got a phone call from ITV’s House Gift Television programme, saying that they were coming to Camel & Yak to use our store and products for one of their episodes, showing a special interest in our French Day Bed.

After days of preperation the televison crew arrived with Danielle Proud, Dubbed “The sexy blonde Nigella of homemaking”, journalist, writer and interior designer Danielle Proud is all about what’s hot right now in the world of modern design. Widely credited with spearheading revival of British craft, Danielle is all about rich texture, innovative form and bold splashes of colour.
After writing a “how to” column for The Guardian Weekend Magazine, championing Women’s Institute skills for a new and younger reader, Danielle was commissioned by Bloomsbury to write her first book: House Proud. Danielle has also set up her own company, House Proud, through which she sells a number of craft lines.
Danielle said, ‘This is my new favourite shop, with a beautiful array of things for me to spend my money on!’

The episode is expected to be televised in November 2010.
